My Clinical Skills

I have been an inter-professional and multidisciplinary practitioner as a lawyer since 1995 and as a private practice social worker/psychotherapist since 2007. I added clinical hypnotherapy to my skill set in 2022. As a lawyer, my areas of practice are family law, youth justice, criminal law, child protection, and administrative law (human rights). As a private practice social worker/psychotherapist/hypnotherapist and counsellor, I practice in mental health and addictions and critical trauma incidents. I worked for 15 years in a hospital environment and continue to work for an International ESP and critical incident group.  As a social justice advocate and educator, I teach clinical law practice to third-year law students. I also design and teach courses to social workers in forensic social work practice, cross-cultural studies, law and social work, social work and diversity in Canada, human development and environments, as well as, social work field practice.
